Set it up yourself.
Everything one court needs comes in the box. Follow these five steps and your next game records itself.
Place the Box
Put the Box on a shelf in a room near one goal. Plug in power and your internet cable, and slide in the ByrdByte SSD.
What you need.
- A room or cabinet within about 10 m of one goal, with a power socket
- An internet cable in that room
- Two floodlight poles along one side of the court
- A lift that reaches about 9 m, for the two pole cameras
- A ladder for the goal masts
- A drill and a few hours
Five steps, start to finish.
Place the Box
Choose the room first. Everything plugs into it.
- Pick a room or cabinet within about 10 m of one goal. The camera behind that goal becomes C2.
- Put the Box on a shelf, out of the rain. Plug in power, then your internet cable into the port marked NET.
- Slide the ByrdByte SSD into the bay on the front. The Street Talent badge on the front lights up.
Mount four cameras
Each camera has its own mount in the kit.
- C1 and C2: fit a goal mast to the top of the end fence behind each goal, so the lens sits above the net, about 4.5 m up.
- C3 and C4: clamp to the two floodlight poles on one side, about 9 m up. Use a lift for these two.
- Leave each camera slightly loose. You aim it in step 4.
Plug in one cable each
One cable carries both power and picture.
- The cables are cut to length and labelled C1 to C4. The longest goes to C1, behind the far goal.
- Run them along the top of the wall in the clips supplied, away from any floodlight power cables.
- Fit a surge protector where each cable enters the room, then plug each one into its matching port on the Box.
Aim with your phone
The setup guide does the measuring for you.
- Scan the code on the Box to open the setup guide on your phone.
- It shows what each camera sees, with a target marked on the court.
- Turn each camera until the target sits inside its frame, then tighten the mount. The guide marks it Aimed.
Play
That is the whole setup.
- Play a short test game. The guide confirms all four cameras recorded it.
- From now on every game records itself, even if the internet drops.
- Stats, highlights and player profiles reach Street Talent by the next morning.
The court, from above.
Two cameras behind the goals, two on the floodlight poles, and the Box in a room behind C2. Brighter areas are seen by two cameras. The printed guide in your kit has the exact aim points for your court size.
Good to know.
Do I need an installer?
No. The kit is designed for your own staff. The only specialist equipment is a lift for the two pole cameras. If you would rather not do it yourself, choose installation when you order.
What if my court is bigger than five-a-side?
Choose the larger court option when you order and give us its length and width. We cut the cables to fit.
What if the internet drops?
Recording carries on. Games are kept on the ByrdByte SSD, so nothing is lost.
What if there are no floodlight poles?
Tell us when you order. We will suggest masts for the two side cameras.
Who helps if I get stuck?
Email us. We can help over a video call while you set up.
